Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2022 Annual Brite Lake Fishing Derby. TVRPD had planned to hold the event this spring. The event was originally pushed back from April to May due to the water allocation levels. Since January, staff has been aggressively reaching out to several hatcheries across the state and have been unable to secure an adequate amount of worthy sized fish sufficient enough for a derby. Effective Aug. 8 the Dye Natatorium pool has been closed due to a lack of staff. We did our best to keep it open as long as we could and are saddened to have to cut our pool season short. TVRPD is proud to present the conceptual design for our new skatepark. This will be a steel structure with a polyurethane coating. It is designed to sustain our weather systems and last throughout the years. We are hopeful to get this design into production within the next few months and have it opened to the public by fall of this year.
