    Members of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 459 Tehachapi have been participating in the TOPS Headquarters "Shine Like A Diamond" anniversary challenge during 2023. The last activity was a walk around Central Park held on Saturday, Oct. 21 in support of the 75th anniversary celebration being held at the TOPS Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on that date.     The American Legion Auxiliary Tehachapi Unit 221 along with Legion Post 221, the American Legion Riders and the Sons of the Legion, will again be hosting the “Wall of Valor “ at the gazebo in Central Park on the 4th of July.     The American Legion Auxiliary Tehachapi Unit 221 has been giving out scholarships to Tehachapi High School and Monroe students for many years. This year, with the help of the Community Charitable Auction, the Auxiliary was able to present four scholarships. Tehachapi seniors honored were Matthew Bilotta, Rachel Miller, Irey Sandholt and Brandon Self. Each of these young people has spent countless hours volunteering in the community and in school.
