Members of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 459 Tehachapi have been participating in the TOPS Headquarters "Shine Like A Diamond" anniversary challenge during 2023.
The last activity was a walk around Central Park held on Saturday, Oct. 21 in support of the 75th anniversary celebration being held at the TOPS Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on that date.
TOPS was started in Milwaukee in 1948 by homemaker Esther Manz. There are currently over 10,000 TOPS chapters in the U.S., Canada and various other countries around the world. Each chapter functions as a support group to help its members lose weight. There is no recommended diet. Each member along with their medical provider decides what works best for them.
Tehachapi chapter 459 meets every Tuesday morning in Friendship Hall of the Tehachapi Community Church at 100 E. E St. Weigh-ins begin at 7:30 a.m. with the meeting starting at 9:30 a.m. You are invited to stop by and see if TOPS will work for you.
