Wall of Valor circa 2016.

The American Legion Auxiliary with assistance of The Loop newspaper and the Tehachapi News will again be collecting photos of local, currently active duty military personnel for the 4th of July. Due to COVID-19, there will be no activities at the park this year and no Wall of Valor. The photos instead will be included in the July 1 Tehachapi News and a video of the photographs will be posted on the American Legion Auxiliary 221 Tehachapi Facebook page, as well as the American Legion Post 221 Tehachapi Facebook page. The photos will also be available for viewing on YouTube.

Photos and submission forms can be dropped off at The Loop newspaper, 206 S. Green St., the Tehachapi News, 411 N. Mill St., or emailed to linda_carmichael93561@yahoo.com.

Photos must be 5x7 and are non returnable. All submissions must be received by June 22 to be included in the July 1 Tehachapi News.

If you had someone on the Wall of Valor, please let us know if they are still active duty and if there is any change in rank or duty station.
