On Nov. 2, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced its recommendation that children 5 to 11 years old be vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine. Early in October, local Bear Valley Springs veteran, William (Bill) Kritlow, flew on the 2021 Honor Flight from Kern County to Washington, D.C.
