On May 25, officers from the Tehachapi Police Department were dispatched to 400 Tucker Rd. (Walmart) to investigate a report of grand theft from the business. On Nov. 30, between the hours of 12:30-4:30 a.m., an unknown Hispanic male suspect stole thousands of dollars in tools from work trucks parked in two separate residential driveways and two additional work trucks parked in a local hotel parking lot. On Friday, July 14, Kern County firefighters will conduct another Public Safety Prescribed Burn. Friday's operation is known as the "CCI Burn" (California Correctional Institution Burn).
