Jack Willie Lacy Junior, 72 years young, passed away Dec. 9, 2023, in Bakersfield, California. In honor of his service in the military, Jack was interred at the Riverside National Cemetery on Jan. 16.

Jack was born to Jack Willie Lacy Sr. from Mississippi and Willy Mae Holmes from Texas. He graduated from Fremont High School, then attended Southwest College for a couple years. From Jack's first marriage came his daughter, Katrina Lacy. From Jack's second marriage came his first son, Kenyon Lacy.

Jack went into military services with the Army and Army National Guard from December 1973 to May 1989. While in the service, Jack met Yulanda where they both served our country until they were discharged. Jack and Yulanda married and from the love of that union came three boys, Lundon Charles Lacy, Warren Christopher Lacy and Elliott Chase Lacy (deceased). In his civilian life, Jack was employed by Los Angeles County health services for 26 years. Working hard, Jack made his way from mailroom clerk up to department supervisor.

Jack kept himself busy with family, friends, fishing, traveling, trips to Las Vegas, good food, social events, cooking in the American Legion chili cook off, voluntary opportunities in the community, family gatherings and events at the American Legion.

Preceding him in rest, was his son, Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Yulanda, sons Kenyon, Lund, Warren, his daughter, Katrina, and his grandchildren, A'Miracle and Warren.
