Annual 5x5 Art Sale to benefit Rising Star Riders

Rising Star Riders (RSR), in conjunction with the Tehachapi Arts Center, presents the annual 5x5 Art Show and Sale on May 3, (the First Friday of May), from 5:55 to 7:55 p.m. All art-sized 5x5 will be sold for $55.55. All sales proceeds and donations are contributed to the Rising Star Riders Foundation. Rising Star Riders is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children and adults with physical and/or emotional challenges. The organization offers horseback riding, therapeutic horseback riding, horse management lessons and mental health services to our community.

This annual event raises money for the Rising Star Riders Foundation to support its mission and provides local artists with a chance to display their talents. The event also allows supporters of the foundation to purchase quality artwork at an affordable price. We invite everyone to participate in this event.

Mark your calendars: First Friday falls on May 3, so don't forget to come out for food, fun and drinks. May 11 is an Improv Workshop with Susan and Jonathan. Runamuk pottery - classes take place all week by appointment. Pottery Night is May 18. Jam Night takes place twice a month on Tuesdays. Contact Mark at the Tehachapi Art Center for monthly dates. We also have classes in ceramics, sticker making, drawing, jewelry making and other crafts every month. Call for a schedule or to make a reservation! New Art Center hours

We are now open 6 days a week. Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note: We stay open later for unique events such as Farmers Market, local fairs, community events and holidays. If the flags are out, we're open!

Join the Tehachapi Arts Center Art-Co-op

If you are looking for a place to display your art, consider joining us here as a Co-op member or as an artist vendor. If you have an artistic skill you would like to share, and you want to teach other artists, we invite you to join our classroom. Young artists are welcome, too. We are proud to have our young artists at the Tehachapi Arts Center.

The Tehachapi Arts Center is a Cooperative continuing the heritage of Mel White's Treasure Trove, providing a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach, display, and sell their art. We are located at 116 E. Tehachapi Blvd. (Across the street from the Tehachapi Water Tower). If the flag is out, we are open! For more information, please call: (661) 822-6794. Or Follow Our Facebook Page for a calendar of events each month. You can view all the classes and updates online.
