Donna Jean Christy, born in San Francisco on Jan. 2, 1946 and raised in Keene, California, passed away on Jan. 5.

Donna married John Christy in February of 1963, where their long relationship welcomed three children, Ron Sr. (wife Sandy), Larry Sr. (wife Samantha) and Ronda. Donna's legacy includes her grandchildren: Ron Jr., Josh, Ashley, Naomi, Jason, Larry Jr., Kaitlin, Maya, Hana, Sukaina and Zaharaa, as well as many great grandchildren. Donna also leaves behind her brother Howard Storie. She is preceded in death by husband John, her parents Billy and Cliff, granddaughter Naomi, grandson Larry Jr. and her brothers Kenneth and Steven.

Throughout the 1970s Donna worked in sales and received many awards, including vacations to the Virgin Islands, Jamaica and many more amazing places. Moving out of sales, Donna ended her working career after 24 years with Kern County Parks and Recreation. She was nothing less than a dedicated and hardworking woman who loved working with everyone she was around.

Donna spent the past few years living in Georgia. She had an incredible number of friends that became part of her loving family. Donna loved being active, playing softball and golf. She also loved to joke and have fun, yet she didn't shy away from her strong opinions. She made such a difference in so many lives. Enough could never be said of her.

She has impacted so many hearts and she will be truly missed.
