The Albertsons Companies Foundation has been running their "Nourishing Neighbors" charitable program for nearly 20 years. At Albertsons registers, shoppers can choose to donate to charity on the card reader machines with every transaction. These funds get processed into gift cards that local charities then distribute to those in need.

Tehachapi's Albertsons has a long-standing partnership with The Salvation Army, and so far this year the Tehachapi community has raised over $7,000. On Nov. 21, The Salvation Army will hand out over 120 $50 gift cards at their Thanksgiving Giveaway.

Thank you to Albertsons and the giving community of Tehachapi for helping make Thanksgiving dinner a reality for many who would otherwise not be able to have one.
