On June 22, Tehachapi Police Officers Amy Smith and Kevin Archuleta were honored for their DUI arrests at the annual Mother Against Drug Driving Awards in Bakersfield, California. Law enforcement agencies throughout Kern County attended the event.
Mother Against Drug Driving (MADD) is a nonprofit organization who seeks to stop drunk driving through education and recognizes officers who produce the most DUI arrests within a calendar year.
The Tehachapi Police Department appreciates the hard work our officers do day in and day out and congratulate officers Amy Smith and Kevin Archuleta for their outstanding efforts to thwart drunk driving in the City of Tehachapi.
The Tehachapi Police Department reminds and encourages the community to report suspected DUI drivers and to utilize rideshare apps or a taxi service if you are too impaired to drive.
