Community Crèche Festival

This crèche is made of wood and is from Africa.

What is a crèche? A crèche is a representation of the Nativity, usually with statues or figurines of Jesus Christ's birth. A crèche is a nativity scene.

There will be a community Tehachapi Christmas Crèche held on Saturday, December 10 from 11 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, December 11 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. located at 600 Anita Drive, Tehachapi. This is a free event in which the community will be able to share the Christmas spirit. This will be a place where people of all ages and denominations can come together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas in a fun and informal, yet reverent, setting.

We are looking for community talent. If you love to sing Christmas music or if you play a musical instrument or are in a musical group who would like to share your talents with the community, please let us know! We will also need your assistance in displaying nativity sets from all around the world, both large and small displays. If you are musically inclined and are willing to perform, share a nativity to be displayed, and/or volunteer to work on the planning committee, please contact Janet Vickers at (661) 916-5778 or at tehachapicreche@gmail.com.
