Destiny Veloz receives $40,000

At the Tehachapi High School Awards Ceremony held May 21, Destiny Veloz, received a $40,000 Reserve GI Bill and Assistance Program for college tuition from SFC Wellington Lluberes. Destiny joined the Army Reserves as a Junior in High School and completed her basic training on August 21, 2014. She will be attending school in Virginia where her base will at Fort Lee.
Destiny is the daughter of Jeana Montgomery, sister to Elishia Montgomery and granddaughter of Patty Birley.
