Stacey Larson-Everson.

Between home schooling, COVID, class size, learning programs and more, the way we educate our children is changing.

Stacey Larson-Everson will be the keynote speaker for the Feb. 21 meeting of American Association of University Women, Tehachapi Mountain Branch. She will speak about changing education in our very own community.

Larson-Everson is the Superintendent of Schools in Tehachapi. No small task. She enjoys working on a team and was drawn to this community because of the tight knit community. Larson-Everson came to us from Bellflower, California and she has been our superintendent for almost five years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Nevada and a master's degree in educational leadership from National University.

The meeting will be held, Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. in the Tehachapi Community Church's Friendship Hall, 300 E. E St. Members, friends and interested people from the community are invited to attend.

AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research. Membership is open to both men and women with an AA degree or higher. For more information see tehachapimountain-ca.aauw.net/.
