Warrior Boosters recognize September Athletes of the Month

The Tehachapi Warriors Booster Club honored the first round of Athlete of the Month recipients for the 2023-24 school year on Oct. 10. Honorees were recognized for their work on the fields, courts and courses in the month of September.
The girls athletes honored were Josephine Rausch (Varsity Volleyball), Josey Brooks (JV Volleyball), Isabel Hawkins (Frosh/Soph Volleyball), Lauryn Merkley (Varsity Tennis), Sophia Garcia (JV Tennis), Rylie Jelleschitz (Varsity Golf), Averee Napier (Varsity Cross Country), Helena Casas (JV Cross Country), Lacey Lathrop (Varsity Cheer), and Olyvia Sedano (JV Cheer).
Those honored on the boys side were Mark Nicholson (Varsity Football), Colton Michael (JV Football), Weston Schultz (Frosh/Soph Football), Walker Fleming (Varsity Cross Country, and Kevin Chitwood (JV Cross Country).
Each athlete received an Athlete of the Month patch for their letterman jackets and an Athlete of the Month t-shirt, courtesy of the Tehachapi Warriors Booster Club. Athlete of the Month recognition is an important part of the Warrior Booster Club's mission to support student-athletes at Tehachapi High School through recognition for their outstanding efforts in competition representing the Warriors and the community.
The Tehachapi Warriors Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds and supports all teams at Tehachapi High School through memberships and fundraising. Monthly meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. at The Village Collective Studio in Downtown Tehachapi.
