Marilyn Giovannetti hands out information regarding avenues in horticulture to the kids at Career Day. She also had Desert Rose Garden Club membership forms, for people interested in the ongoing Beautify California City Project.
The Desert Rose Garden Club joined the Career Day hosted by The Safe Haven for Kids League. Backpacks were handed out to the kids and an ongoing game of bingo was quite fun. The California City Police Department and Fire Department were there to show support. Also, representatives from the Marine Corps. and Air Force from Edwards AFB. Supporters were giving out free melons and vegetables. Starbucks hosted a booth handing out free cups of coffee. The garden club signed four new members interested in the California City Beautification Project.
