This year we'll be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Tehachapi Apple Festival. The festival will take place on Green and F streets in Downtown Tehachapi on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Besides the kids bounce houses and multiple games, this year we will have a street maze for kids to try to solve, free face painting, marionettes performing "Peter and The Wolf" and so much more for kids to do, like apple bobbing on a string. There will not be a petting zoo this year, but we still have a lot of fun in store for kids including a hula hoop contest.
In Centennial Plaza, we have a great line up of live music for your enjoyment and dancing. We'll also have beer and wine available in the Plaza. Travel the distance to find great food from multiple food vendors, including twirled potato sticks, BBQ tri-tip sandwiches, hot dogs, tacos, tamales, Chinese food, sausage and various other sandwiches, nachos, sliders, plus desserts like cookies, apple pie, apple nachos and apple fritters.

Do your holiday, gift giving or personal shopping while visiting the over 90 merchandise booths including clothes, candles, soaps, home décor, decorations, BBQ islands, tumblers, jewelry, knives, cosmetics, toys and so much more.
Buy some fresh picked apples. Watch the rubber apples drop from a crane and possibly win a $1,000 Walmart gift card – the holidays are around the corner, and this would certainly help. Why not see if you can beat others at eating an apple pie at the Pie Eating Contest on Saturday. There will be cash prizes for the top three winners. Do you make an exceptional apple Pie? Why not enter the Apple Pie Baking Contest on Sunday. Cash prizes for the top three pies. And don't miss the Vintage Trailer show on Sunday.
