The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra is excited to be partnering with the 2023 Cheers to Charity event. During the fundraiser, 100% of the proceeds go to Tehachapi non-profit organizations. The Tehachapi Symphony believes that live classical music should be provided to everyone in the community, regardless of their ability to purchase tickets, so TSO concerts have always been presented for FREE. However, there is a cost to put on each concert and TSO needs funds to defray the costs to continue its tradition of free symphony concerts for all.
The goal of Cheers to Charity is to raise money and give it away to local nonprofits, the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra being one of the recipients. Cheers to Charity is scheduled for Aug. 12 at Aviator Park beginning at 6 p.m.
The event features delicious food from area chefs, fine California and International wines, 16 home-brewed and craft beers, dancing, games, a silent auction and a coffee and dessert bar. There is also a non-alcoholic bar for the designated drivers.
