Race has arrived in the City of Tehachapi

February 18, 2023

Race Communications.

New Tehachapi resident Marlene Craighead proudly announces her newly installed internet. The first in downtown Tehachapi.

While outlying areas of Tehachapi, such as Stallion Springs, have had the luxury of the high speed internet supplied by Race Communications for some time, the very first installation within the city of Tehachapi occurred on the morning of Feb. 16. The lucky recipients of the first installation were Bradly and Marlene Craighead, who recently moved to Tehachapi from San Diego. The entire Race team showed up for the initial installation, including Director of Sales and Marketing Jim Miller, Marketing Manager Jessica Helmick, Director of Field Operations Chris Bader and Local Marketing Representative Samantha Cook. Bader explained that the wires come from the power poles, are wrapped and placed in the areas most advantageous for Wi-Fi .

Race is now the leading fiber internet provider in rural areas of California, delivering high speed internet up to 1gbps. Local service began in Stallion Springs almost 10 years ago. Since then, Bear Valley Springs and Golden Hills have been added, and now the City of Tehachapi.
