GHCSD honors Marilyn White

At the Jan. 19 meeting of the Golden Hills Community Service District (GHCSD), the new Board honored Marilyn White for her years of service to the GHCSD Board. White had served on the Board of Directors since 2014. New member Scott Wyatt was elected to the seat in the November election.
During this first meeting of the year, the GHCSD Board also approved the water rate study performed by Provost & Pritchard of Bakersfield. The study is necessary to assure that any proposed water rate adjustments will be Proposition 218 compliant. Proposition 218 assures that any taxes and fees imposed by a public entity are not more than the actual cost of the service.
