As Valley Strong Credit Union begins building a new full-service branch in Tehachapi, the credit union continues to develop opportunities to build a financial relationship within the community and the surrounding areas.

Valley Strong's Tehachapi Branch Manager Kristy Vasquez said that having a full-service branch and an exciting new promotion will help benefit the community in numerous ways.

"Not only does it give members extra perks for opening a new checking account, it also helps support the community we live in," said Vasquez. "We look forward to building strong financial relationships with potential new and current members."

The new "Love Your Local Restaurants" promotion will offer the residents of Tehachapi and surrounding areas the opportunity to earn incentives, help their community and build a lasting relationship with the credit union. What are these perks, you may ask? From now to the end of February, residents who open a new checking account will receive a free box of checks, a $50 gift card from a participating restaurant and the chance to earn a $100 bonus.

With Valley Strong's continuous efforts to help its communities, we have partnered with eight restaurants in the surrounding area. Henry's Café, Jake's Steak House, Kohnen's Country Bakery, Old Towne Pizza, P-Dub's restaurants, Red House BBQ, Steampunk Café and Grill and TK Pizza & Pasta have all agreed to partner with the credit union to bring this promotion to life.

For those who wish to take advantage of this promotion, they can visit our current location at 821 Tucker Road in Tehachapi or online at http://www.valleystrong.com/100 to open their account.

New full-service branch

The new 2,600-square-foot branch, located at 1002 W. Tehachapi Blvd. in the Walmart Shopping Center, will provide an extension to the great service that is provided at the current express branch. This branch is set to open in the summer of 2021 and will offer all financial services and resources that are available at other full-servicing branches.
