Halloween is an exciting time of year, but this year Halloween might look a little bit different. That doesn't mean it won't be fun though! The Tehachapi Library has been working with local, downtown businesses to put together a Monster Hunt.

The monster hunters at the library need help. There are monsters loose downtown, and we need someone to help us find them all. Starting October 21, you can pick up information on where these monsters might be lurking. You could walk around downtown to find them, but we recommend staying in your car, since some of them can be dangerous. Once you have filled out your hunter sheet, each helper can claim a bag of goodies from us for their help.

Parents, there are two ways to get the goodie bags for your little hunters: you can bring the hunter sheet back once you have completed it and collect your prizes then, or you can pick up the information and the goodies at the same time so you can reward your young hunters once they have finished. This is a great option if you want to complete the hunt on Halloween.

You can pick up the information and goodies between noon and 6 p.m. on October 28, 29 and 30. We will have a table set up out front where you can pick them up without needing an appointment. Happy hunting, Tehachapi and Happy Halloween!
