Calling all ladies

Business Bitz

Are you a woman in business or someone who has always thought about having her own business? If so, there’s an event coming up, and it is designed just for you.

The event, happening on Saturday, April 1, is called Wine, Women, and Wealth, and it’s going to be great. There will be great wine from two of Kern County’s local award winning vineyards, Great women who are going to tell their stories about owning and operating a small business and what it took for them to achieve their success, and information about how you can achieve success financially, personally, and by owning your own business.

You need to know that if you want to be in business, Kern County is the place. Kern County businesses have been recognized locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally for their success. And get this, if you would like to be a success in business these very same people that have done it before you are still here and they want to help you achieve your success. There are individuals and organizations here to serve you at no cost to you. “Where do I go for assistance?” come and find out.

The last time we held this event, it was a huge success with over one hundred women showing up for the fun and festivities. New friends were made, and existing relationships were strengthened. This time it will be even better. The MC will be local entrepreneur Stephanie Lowrey from TRIS Technologies who, by the way, along with her husband Josh won the California Rising Star small business of the year award for 2016. You will hear her story about how in just two short years they achieved notoriety as the Best in the State.

National Country Music Recording Artist and Business Owner Kim McAbee will share the story of her rise to fame. Hear about her dream, which resulted in the Hall of Fame being established on Jan. 1, 2015. She was just like you and after meticulously mastering her craft, success came her way. It’s a great story, and I know you will be impressed. Speaking about being impressed let me tell you about the venue. The event will be held at the Bakersfield Music Hall of Fame. If you haven’t been there yet, you don’t know what you are missing. The Hall of Fame is a beautiful facility that will impress you and any of your guests. From the moment you pull into the parking lot and see the amazing façade to when you first walk in and see the walls covered with photos of music history, you get a special feeling that makes you proud to be a Kern County resident. This facility is a gem in Kern County that needs to be celebrated with you, your family and your friends.

I don’t want to give too much away, but there will be food, fun, music, and a vendor fair all designed to encourage you and to help you dream bigger than you ever have before. There will be “giveaways” and prizes.
