Guitarist Laurence Juber returns April 1

Fiddlers Crossing

Two-time Grammy-winning guitarist Laurence Juber will make his fourth appearance in Tehachapi on Saturday, April 1, at Fiddlers Crossing. Juber is a world-renowned guitar virtuoso, composer and arranger, who won his first Grammy as lead guitarist for Paul McCartney's Wings. Since then, he has become particularly noted for his finger style interpretations of Beatles songs, including two CDs from the Beatle songbook. One of them, "LJ Plays The Beatles," was voted one of Acoustic Guitar Magazine's Top Ten albums of all time. In all, Juber has 20 solo albums and counting to his credit, ranging from folk and jazz to pop and rock.

Juber is also in demand as a studio musician and composer. He is featured on numerous recordings by major artists, as well as on TV and movie soundtracks. His playing can be heard on The Secret Life of the American Teenager on the ABC Family channel, and films such as "Good Will Hunting" and the "Muppet Movie."

As a composer, Juber has contributed to video games, including Diablo III, as well as documentary films. His music is featured on Ken Burns' "The Tenth Inning," and NBC Datelines' "Children of the Harvest." With his wife, Hope Juber, he has composed the scores to several musical comedies.

Juber's last performance in the venue quickly sold out back in 2013. This one will undoubtedly bring in a full house, as well.
