Blue Mustard in Central Park

August 21 - 3:30 to 5pm

Blue Mustard will perform in Central Park on Sunday Aug. 21, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., closing out this year's round of entertainment.

Blue Mustard is a group of seasoned professional musicians bonded together by great love of music. Each of the members has paid their dues thru hundreds of musical performances.

The lead vocalist and voice of the band is Roy Hernandez. Roy doubles on harmonica and is a gifted lyricist-songwriter. His song writing partner is Jerry Mulkins, the leader of Blue Mustard and one of the two lead guitarists.

The other lead guitar player is Steve Hall, the well-respected local guitar teacher. Steve and Jerry provide the fireworks for the band on their guitars.

Drummer Pat Shoptaw is well known in L.A. as a member of Tom Thumb and The Hitchhikers show band. His drumming is solid and inspiring.

The newest member of Blue Mustard is bassist Phil Serpico. Phil hails from Lancaster and is, with Pat, the rhythm section for Blue Mustard. He was a studio musician in L.A. for many years. He and Pat are best of brothers in a song.

Rounding out the band is the extraordinary vocal blend of Joy Gray (not pictured) and Gloria Yeager (not pictured). Joy is well known in Tehachapi for her acting work at TCT and is a stellar vocalist. Gloria Yeager is a local dance instructor who began her dancing career on TV. Her soulful vocals compliment Joy and Roy as well as singing lead vocals on several tunes.

Blue Mustard is an extraordinary group.
