TMRA Welcomes Back Austin Singley

Rodeo audiences look forward to the hilarious antics of a rodeo clown. These clowns, like their circus counterparts, often wear big floppy shoes, big red noses with funny hats, clothes and wild hair. But the rodeo clowns today are called barrel men and do much more than just entertain the crowd with their funny hijinks.

The Tehachapi Mountain Rodeo Association would like to welcome back PRCA barrel man Austin Singley. It is part of Austin's job as a barrel man to help distract the bull when a rider is caught up or having problems dismounting after his ride. Austin is from Clearfield, Utah, but currently resides in Lake Elsinore, California. As the youngest barrel man currently in the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, he spends his year traveling & performing for audiences all over the country! Bringing his award winning comedy and unmatchable wit to every performance with perfect timing and execution!

Since a young age, Austin always loved performing and making people laugh. Through the years he would always participate in plays and musicals and has even performed at theme parks. Among his many talents, Austin is an award winning hypnotist, stage illusionist and professional stuntman. Although he loves performing on a stage, it wasn't until 2009 that Austin found himself drawn to a much larger and exciting stage, a rodeo arena. Although attending rodeos had been a long standing family tradition, he caught the 'rodeo bug' immediately during a performance of the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo, after watching decorated PRCA Barrelman, Keith Isley, perform his signature trick horse act. "I watched in awe as Keith commanded the 'stage' with his high energy and on the spot comedy. Not only could you tell that he was having the time of his life, but because of him, so was the rest of the 10,000 rodeo goers! I knew right then and there, rodeo is where I was meant to be!"

Austin has spent the last several years carefully crafting his own signature and copyrighted rodeo acts that continue to amaze and entertain rodeo fans across the country. From his dancing inflatable to his stunts/special effects, and from his trick horse to his magic illusions, Austin's overabundance of energy and satirical humor is what keeps audiences entertained and on the edge of their seats throughout the entire show!
