The Tehachapi Lions Club donated $300 worth of school supplies to the Salvation Army's Back-to-School Program. The Lions provided pencils, pens, notebooks, crayons, folders and glue sticks for student backpacks that will be distributed on August 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Monroe High School Gymnasium. This is one project among many that the Lions do for the youth in our community of Tehachapi. The Lions next youth project will be the Jr. High Peace Poster Contest. This year's theme is "A Celebration of Peace". More information will be coming out about the contest once school resumes. To find out about the contest or any other project or event that the Lions are involved in, please call 661-822-7583. You can also go to the Tehachapi Lions Facebook page or to the club's new website: e-clubhouse.org/sites/tehachapi.
