Join the Tehachapi Kiwanis CLUB in welcoming its guest, Mr. Chris Naftel at the club's weekly meeting on Wednesday, June 8.
Mr. Naftel was the Manager of the NASA Global Hawk program from its beginning in 2005 until his retirement in 2015. He will provide a presentation covering the project from its inception through the many Earth Science projects that it has supported.
The Global Hawk System provides a unique capability for the science community. The combination of the aircraft's range, endurance, altitude, and payload capabilities separates the Global Hawk aircraft from all other aircraft that are available to the science community. This presentation will include an overview of the startup of the project, the concept of operations, and an overview of the completed science campaigns.
Join the Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi at its noon meeting on Wednesday, June 8th. The Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi is an organization dedicated to serving the children of the world, one child at a time.
