Democrats meet to clean up the highway.
Members of Tehachapi Mountain Democratic Club recognized Earth Day by picking up trash along Tucker Road and Valley Blvd. The volunteer workers filled sixteen large bags with trash. The Club cleans that section of road quarterly under a Caltrans program which provides bags and safety vests.
Democrats meet the first Thursday of each month at Big Papa's Steakhouse. Dinner is at 5 p.m. followed by a program at 6. The meeting on May 5 features Greg Garrett, City Manager, as the speaker. Any registered Democrat is invited to attend the meeting and join the Club.
