Book signing: 'Memories of the Mayor'

On Saturday, May 14, from 1 to 3 p.m., Ed Grimes will be signing and discussing his recently published book, Memories of the Mayor, From Chicken Coop to Mayor, at the Tehachapi Museum. Ed's book is a collection of articles originally published in The Loop. His book is dedicated to the people of Tehachapi who helped him grow into the person that he is now.
His book begins with his recollections dating back to the summer of 1950 when Ed and his younger brother, who were foster children, came to live in Tehachapi.
All profits from the sale of the book will help finance the scholarship that the Grimes family has established at Tehachapi High School.
Refreshments will be served. The Tehachapi Museum is located at 310 S. Green Street. The museum is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12to 4 p.m. For more information call (661) 822-8152.
