Summer lecture series at Triassic Vineyards

Here at Triassic Vineyards, we’re looking ahead into the summer months and planning to share the beauty we see here in Cummings Valley. Our vines reach the fullness of their green canopies and the grape clusters become full with robust splendor. Just walking from the car into the tasting room usually causes our weekend wine guests to pause “between the vines”. There have been plenty of travelers and visitors coming up to Tehachapi wanting to check out our wines.

Our local friends and guests are becoming comfortable sharing interesting life stories. Story-telling is why we’re launching another lecture series called “Summer Sunsets”. When it was cold outside, our “Winter Wednesdays” were a big success, so it’s bound to be even more fun in the Summer! Once again, we want to gather folks to hear some featured stories of history, adventure, science or education from area residents. The 4-part lecture series will be from 7-8:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month of summer (June 10, July 8, August 12, and September 9). Complimentary snacks and lemonade will be served in a cozy atmosphere and fine wine will be available, as always, by the glass or bottle. Questions? Call 760-525-2373.

To kick off the first evening, June 10, our topic will feature an incredible film presentation of the ancient “Rock Art of the Cosos”. It explores the remote canyons of the top-secret China Lake military base, located on the edge of the Mojave Desert. It was produced for our very own Tehachapi Heritage League. Charles White, as director of the foundation will give a brief introduction, and Harold Williams, a Kawaiisu Native from Sand Canyon, Tehachapi as special honorary guest. We’re thrilled to offer the public an evening of intriguing Indian history so close to home.

Please join us for fellowship and bring your friends. Cheers!
