President of the Golden Queen Mining Company LLC Lutz Klingmann stands with the company's Chief Financial Officer Andree St. Germain, Administrative Manager Ken Mann, local historian and wordsmith Bill Deaver, Thomas Clay – chairman of the board of Golden Queen Mining Company LLC and Jimmy Hallac - the managing director of Leucadia National Corp. who are partners in the joint venture at the Mojave mine, in recognition of the donation of a set of corner lots from the mining company to the Mojave Chamber of Commerce.

Mojave – Jan. 22, 2014 Golden Queen Mining Company LLC officials were on hand as the clean-up of four lots, on the northwest corner of Panamint and K St., began. The land was officially transferred via donation to the Mojave Chamber of Commerce back on Dec. 13, 2014.

The Southern Pacific Railroad caboose that was formerly parked in the parking lot of Mike's Roadhouse Café (now closed) on Sierra Highway will find a new resting place on the lots across from the Golden Queen Mining Company's office on K Street, according to Manager-Administrator Ken Mann.

The plans for the new Visitors Center are still being developed but the donation of the land and the cleaning up of the lots is a great start. We plan to landscape this property and make it so we can provide parking and more for visitors, Clipperton said.

Chamber members and officers are appreciative of all at Golden Queen Mining Company for their generous donation, Clipperton said adding, and this is just the latest example of the superb support of the community this firm has demonstrated since they began their efforts to return the mine at Soledad Mountain to full operation.
