Hummingbird Lecture - Oct. 25
On Oct. 25, 2014 the Tehachapi Heritage League will partner with the Bakersfield Audubon Society to present "Hummingbirds: Dazzling Bundles of Energy!" The event will be held at the Tehachapi Depot and seating is limited. The presentation begins at 6 p.m.
Dr. H. Ross Hawkins, founder and executive director of the Hummingbird Society based in Sedona, Arizona, will start with the presentation, "Hummingbirds 101" and continue with an exploration of the rich beauty of some of the 338 known hummer species. This will be Dr. Hawkins' third time to appear in Tehachapi to lecture on hummingbirds. His appearances always sell out. Reservations may be made at the Tehachapi Museum located at 310 S. Green Street, Tehachapi during hours of 12 to 4 p.m. on Friday - Sunday, or by calling (661) 822-8152. Phone calls will be returned. Tickets are $15 and reservations are confirmed only upon payment.
