Join the Pet Parade at West Park's Read Field

Children bring your favorite animal or pet to the Pet Parade on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at West Park’s Read Field. The Tehachapi Mountain Dog Fanciers is sponsoring the parade. Line-ups will be on a first come first serve basis, so plan to arrive before 5:30 p.m. The parade begins promptly at 6 p.m.
The judging of each category starts at 6:30 p.m. Prizes for 1st Place in all categories. All participants will receive a ribbon. In addition, first place winners will be eligible to participate in the Tehachapi Mountain Festival® Parade on Saturday morning.
The judging categories will be:
• Most unusual pet
• Best look-alike costumed owner & pet
• Pet and owner look alike (costume)
• Best Trick
• Tallest pet
• Shortest legs
• Best tail wagger
• Howling contest
Entry forms are available at the Chamber office and the Tehachapi Mountain Festival® website at http://www.tehachapimountainfestival.com or immediately prior to judging at Read Field.
Parents, be sure your child can handle their pet, and that all pets have leashes or can be controlled!
