Anne Marie Novinger and Dick Cavanaugh of the Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi show the assorted t-shirts people have donated for sale to earn funds for the Kiwanis International/UNICEF campaign to eradicate Neo-Natal Tetanus, a disease that dooms babies born in unsanitary conditions to a painful death. Since the beginning of the campaign, the disease has been eliminated in 32 of the 59 countries where tetanus routinely took the lives of millions of mothers and babies. Inset, a mother and child who have been protected for eight years by a shot that cost $1.80.
