The Tehachapi Valley Gem and Mineral Society is back and gaining momentum for the upcoming Tehachapi Mountain Festival. For a number of years we have held an annual Rock and Mineral Show and this year it will be bigger and better than before. On Tuesday, May 18, the 6th grade science class at Jacobsen Jr. High was presented with a donation from the Tehachapi Valley Gem and Mineral Society (TVGMS) to assist the students with their Earth science studies and education.
