Have a Heart Humane Society Chosen By eBay Giving Works for an Auction Fundraiser

Have a Heart Humane Society is one of 38 non-profits chosen from a nation-wide pool to participate in the eBay Giving Works Campaign For Your Cause program. The pet rescue’s goal is to raise $10,000 for the Tehachapi Fix Your Pet Project through eBay auctions, which will run from Oct. 22 to Oct. 29 on eBay. To date, Have a Heart has funded and hosted 8 spay/neuter clinics in Tehachapi but more are needed.
To reach our goal Have a Heart needs at least 75 auction items with a minimum value of $50 for each item.
“We’ve already received some amazing auction items,” says Kitzmiller, Have a Heart’s director. Items include: One night/continental breakfast at Sunset Towers Hotel in Hollywood ($500 value); 4 SeaWorld tickets; 2 tickets to Aquarium of the Pacific; Spode china; antique figurines; Bulova diamond watch ($450 value); Native American pendant on a silver necklace ($600 value); Prada gown ($1000 value); writing critique by best-selling author Lauraine Snelling; 5 stock book covers from Hot Damn Designs ($150 value); 1930s hand-stitched Grandma’s Flower Garden quilt; and much more.
We’re looking for items such as gift certificates, mini vacations (hotels, timeshares, cabins), tickets to plays and concerts, ski passes, movie passes, lunch with a TV or movie personality, a walk-on role, electronics, skydiving, lessons, dog training, and horseback riding. Small items can be grouped together like a beauty package (nails, hair, facial). The possibilities are endless.
Our dedicated team will promote your business or you, as an individual, and the auction item through our Facebook network, the Have a Heart monthly newsletter (1400 subscribers), Twitter, Pinterest, the Tehachapi News, The Loop newspaper, and the Bakersfield Californian. Because the auction will be hosted by eBay, your generosity and your business will be promoted to eBay’s buying public.
We sincerely hope we may count on Tehachapi’s pet lovers to help us reach our goal. If no auction is available, we will gladly accept a cash donation. All proceeds collected comes right back to Tehachapi to alter Tehachapi public-owned pets. All donations must be received by Oct. 10, 2014.
