Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
The community responded enthusiastically to the yard sale at the Errea House. Many people donated items to sell, and even more people came to buy.
The Tehachapi Heritage League, which operates the Tehachapi Museum and the Errea House, is dependent on fundraisers and donations to maintain these facilities. Dixie Coutant, who spearheaded the yard sale, expressed appreciation to the many docents who worked to make the sale a success and for those who donated and bought items.
Tehachapi Heritage League has many projects planned throughout the year. Museum displays are being upgraded and new exhibits are in the works. League Board members meet regularly to ensure the museum is interesting and informative for visitors.
The next important date is July 4, which marks the 51st anniversary since THL was established. The public is invited on that day to enjoy cake and punch on the Errea House porch between noon and 2 p.m. Watch for announcements of other special events.
