Cody Joseph Gunnar Jorgensen December 22, 1999 – March 16, 2024

Celebration of Life

Provided.

Cody Joseph Gunnar Jorgensen.

Cody Jorgensen, born in Bakersfield, embodied a spirit of adventure from the outset.

He traversed the breadth of the United States with his grandparents, basking in the wonders of places like Florida before he even turned 16. With friends he embarked on desert escapades, relishing in playful mischief amidst abandoned buildings with bottle rockets. His fervor for velocity was kindled at Willow Springs Drag Strip, where he fearlessly pushed boundaries behind the wheel of Baby Cakes, a testament to his familial legacy of audacious driving. His love affair with vehicles was unending.

Cody was funny and kind. He laughed often and overcame his fear of heights. Cody shared an unbreakable bond with his siblings, Krista and Wyatt, evolving from childhood antics to enduring camaraderie. Although Cody's time with us was brief, his kind heart left an everlasting memory in the hearts of all who knew him.

Survived by his parents, Tony and Wendy (Ashton) Jorgensen, brother Wyatt Jorgensen, grandparents Robert and Carol (Randazzo) Jorgensen Jr., Sidney and Sandi (Flocken) Ashton, Debora Lagutaris, great-grandmother Jeanne (Esse) Lagutaris, auth Tammy (Jorgensen) Camps, uncle Scott Ashton and uncle Mike and Candi (Cavasos) Jorgensen, cousins River and Cash Camps, Julian Ashton, and Nicolas and Declan Jorgensen, and those who were his chosen family members. Preceded in death by his sister, Krista Jorgensen, Uncle David Camps, maternal great-grandparents Gregory Lagutaris and rose (Lynch) Clausse and John and Olive (Palmer) Ashton.
