Tehachapi Adult Day Health Care

Tehachapi ADHC, Tehachapi's only Adult Day Health Care, is a place to gather and socialize, make new friends and enjoy old ones.

The center provides breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and lunch at 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During mealtime, everyone gathers and enjoys their hot meals in the company of others.

In addition to socialization, participants engage in crafts, board games, puzzles, pool, air hockey, ping pong, basketball, daily chair exercises and weekly movie days.

The center's activities change daily, which benefits everyone. The participants engage in weekly bingo with prizes, and music on Mondays is hosted by Mountain Music.

Birthday celebrations are a monthly event with cake and music. Guest speakers come in to educate on other topics and services available.

The center staff includes nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, a dietician, and a speech therapist. A medical doctor and pharmacist are available as needed. The staff meets with the prospective participant and family to assess the needs to come up with an individualized plan of care.

Tehachapi ADHC is conveniently located in downtown Tehachapi at 123 W. F Street inside the old Moose Lodge.
