Desert Rose Garden completes new fence

January 20, 2024

Provided.

The Desert Rose Garden Club Of California City has finished the wrought iron fence around the Remembrance Rose Garden.

A project that had been put on the back burner for a while, Tawney Sparks jumped in head first and got it across the finish line. A generous $4,000 donation from a friend was quite helpful, also.

The project was completed in three phases. The old wire and pole fence was removed and replaced with the very nice wrought iron. Next was the arbor to the entrance, donated by club member Leonard Bucheger. Last, the finely hand-painted rose, by Tawney Sparks, was welded to the gate.

What a huge difference this has made to not only the rose garden but the entrance into Inspiration Walk, as well. Thanks to everyone that volunteered their time.
