Jean Marie Morgan August 20, 1946 – December 8, 2023

Celebration of Life

January 6, 2024

Provided.

Jean Marie Morgan.

Jean was born to Max Deutz and Agnes McEvoy in Los Angeles, California on Aug. 20, 1946. A loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife and aunt, Jean was fun, loving and kind while being strong, stern and outspoken at the same time. If one were to describe Jean, it would be that she was life and sunshine when she walked into the room. She worked as a Corporate Officer for approximately 30 years. She married James Morgan in December 1978 in Los Angeles, California and bought their home in Tehachapi in 1985.

Jean was one who never knew a stranger. Once you met Jean you were a friend. Warm and inviting, she was a wonderful person that you would want to know more about.

Jean's faith in God was unshakable. She knew that her life here on earth would end, but her eternal life with God would begin. Her faith took her into prison Ministry. This brought her fulfillment, as did being a part of the Catholic Daughters, attending church, and being a part of community events.

Jean introduced her older brother Jim to his wife Sally. They named their daughters Jean and Marie after his baby sister. Jean has always been very close with them. Jean also has an older sister Nancy and her family, which she loves deeply.

She will be remembered always, how her family speaks of her with such admiration and all the wonderful stories. The light that now shines in Heaven.

While we mourn her loss with us, we will rejoice in her joining her heavenly Father.

Services will be held at Wood Family Funeral Service on Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. Graveside to follow.
