What's Up in Bear Valley Springs?
September 30, 2023
A wonderful Senior Wellness Information Event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m., at the Whiting Center. It’s sponsored by the BVS Police VIPS, and is for the benefit of seniors in our community, as well as anyone else who is interested.
You will learn about home care, home health, local hospitals, Medicare planning and assisted living. So do come and benefit from a great learning experience!
The roads and byways in our community are beginning to show signs of litter. Fortunately, the Horseman’s Association is sponsoring their semi-annual litter pick-up on Oct. 21. Meet at the Equestrian Center at 9 a.m., and remember to wear a hat, gloves, bring water and picker-uppers if you have them. You do not have to be a member of the Horseman’s Association to participate. Just be a person who takes pride in our community and want to make it look better. We usually meet for lunch at the Mulligan Room, afterward. You are welcome to join in.
Does vintage dance appeal to you? Dancing like Jane Austin? The BVS Vintage Dance and Tea Society meets Thursdays 6 to to 7:30 p.m., at the OTCC on the first, third, and fourth Thursdays of the month, and at the Green Room in the Whiting Center on the second Thursday. Dates and times can be subject to change so check the Facebook page, or join the email list.
The Astronomy Club is in full swing and meeting monthly on the first Wednesday of the month. They also plan dark sky star parties and other events. Contact Interim President Claude Plymate at email@example.com. The astronomy club encourages us all to keep our skies dark, the better to see star formations.
Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community in which the residents pay an annual association amenities fee. To visit, a non-member or non-resident must arrange with a friend or family member in the community for a guest pass that would permit them to engage in the activities. Guest passes will be checked.
