This Pipe Band will perform in concert during Apple Festival.

Bagpipe players and Scottish country dancers will be performing on the second day of Tehachapi's Apple Festival. It is an opportunity to enjoy colorful and lively entertainment when you attend this concert performed by the Kern County Pipe Band. The public is invited to come on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of Tehachapi Community Church on the corner of Green and E streets.

The band was formed eight years ago by Travis Combs and John Partanen. There are currently 12 members who perform Scottish music featuring different types of bag pipes and drums. They wear colorful plaid kilts and play traditional Scottish tunes. They will provide accompaniment for the Scottish Country Dancers. The Bagpipe Band is asking for donations of $10 to help them buy uniforms and piping supplies.
