Mountain Festival Pet Parade, Aug. 12

Join us for this iconic kids event on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. on the Tehachapi Event Center and Rodeo Grounds. Contest winners can walk in the Mountain Festival parade a week later.

Tehachapi Mountain Dog Fanciers is a local hobby club supporting the Tehachapi area since 1995 with classes, public education, KCSO-K9 fundraising and legislative advocating.

For two decades we have sponsored the Tehachapi Mountain Festival Pet Parade.

We begin with a march around the lot to patriotic music. We have competitions such as Best Trick, Best Tail-wagger and Tallest Pet. Then we raffle off donations from local businesses and organizations.

Raffle tickets offset our cost for ribbons and other necessary materials. Our volunteers work hard to keep overhead costs low and we thank the local businesses and organizations that support this event.
