National Night Out, Aug. 1

City of Tehachapi

The Tehachapi Police Department is hosting National Night Out once again at Philip Marx Central Park on E Street in Downtown Tehachapi on Tuesday, Aug. 1 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Chief Standridge would like to invite the community to come out meet him and his staff and enjoy a summer evening in the park. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

"I encourage everyone to come to this year's National Night Out. It is a great opportunity to come and meet me and other members of the Tehachapi Police Department. The Tehachapi Police Foundation has worked diligently to make this year's event enjoyable for this great community," said Richard Standridge, Chief of Police.

Bring out the entire family to meet all your first responders including the Kern County Fire Department, Kern County Sheriff's Office, California Highway Patrol, California Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, and your Tehachapi Police Officers!

There will be a coloring contest for children, bike rodeo, plenty of photo opportunities, police cars and fire trucks for the kids to climb on, food, a glowstick walk and we will wrap it up with a movie in the park ("Puss in Boots: The Last Watch") courtesy of TVRPD.
