The Tehachapi Amateur Radio Association will be giving a demonstration of Ham Radio and its modern capabilities to the Boys & Girls Clubs Of Kern County.
This demonstration will take place at the E.L. Jack and Monica Armstrong Youth Center, 801 Niles St., Bakersfield.
A demonstration is scheduled for Tuesday, July 25 at 11 a.m.
We will show how Ham Radio incorporates STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
Among the demonstrations and information we will provide, we plan on showing the kids how an image can be sent over the radio, and we hope to get a few kids on the air and actually make contact over the radio.
