Adam Michael Liles, 16, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on May 13. Adam is survived by his mother, Cheryl Liles; seven brothers and sisters; his grandmother; and a large extended family.
Adam suffered a traumatic brain injury, just days after his birth, and was adopted at the age of 2 as part of our family. Even though he was cortically blind and unable to move, he taught us compassion, forgiveness, patience and grace. He introduced us to miracles and taught us to endure beyond all odds. What a beautiful miracle this little boy was.
Adam, you will be greatly missed, until we meet again at the gates of heaven.
Donations may be made in remembrance of Adam, to the Madera, California Ronald McDonald House at Valley Children's Hospital. This particular Ronald McDonald House accommodated us on 10 separate occasions, providing lodging and meals during hospitalizations, at no cost to our family.
