Top Dog Wrestling Club (youth club wrestling out of Golden Valley High School) went to Reno, NV, and competed in the World of Wrestling 2023 Reno Worlds Championships. This is considered one of the toughest tournaments in the nation for youth wrestlers, with over 2,800 wrestlers and over 43 states represented.

The Cerna Sisters (Valeria and Kamila Cerna) and Bella Reyes won 12U girls Reno Worlds team title, becoming Bakersfield's first girl team champions.

There were over 80 registered girl teams in their division, and they captured the coveted title. We would love these girls to get the recognition they worked hard for and earned. We would also like to let everyone know that not only do girls wrestle, but Bakersfield has some of the best girl wrestlers in the nation.
