Evelyn Thomasson April 27, 1945 – December 6, 2022

Evelyn (Sue/Susie) Pearl Thomasson passed away on December 6, 2022, in Bakersfield, California. Services were officiated by Sally Periman Lawrence. The eulogy was written and presented by Paul Fogle, Ph.D.

Evelyn was born April 27, 1945, in Palmdale, California to Opal and Arthur Stupp. She graduated from Palmdale High School in 1963. Evelyn married Boyd (Bud) Thomasson in April 1965, and he passed away in 1986. She was a homemaker who took care of her nieces and nephews before she had children of her own. She met Douglas DeGarmo in 1994, and they were together until he passed away in 2011.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Opal and Arthur Stupp; her brothers, Thomas, Paul, and Charles Stupp; her husband, Boyd Thomasson; her long-time partner, Douglas DeGarmo; and her son, Glen Thomasson.

Evelyn is survived by her brother, Clifford Stupp; her sisters, Opal Thielke (fiancé Randy), Mary Greene (Fred), Charlotte Fredericks, and Kathryn Nicholson; her daughter, Nadine Thomasson; granddaughters, Victoria and Cheyenne; numerous nieces and nephews; and so many friends.
